Bouquet Of Barbed Wire: FT & Telegraph reviews

Two more good reviews have appeared online - read in full on the websites.

The Financial Times

There wasn’t a dull minute, which is what melodramas should be like – and everyone has by no means yet slept with everyone else. The remake has decided to concentrate on the drama, and cut the mellow... but it will wrench your gut, break your heart and damn your eyes.

The Telegraph

...Guy Andrews’s script very subtly emphasised how all these people weren’t just randy – they were also steeped in their own solipsistic juices. Indeed, sex was about the only thing that made them come out of themselves.

It was sharp too on the little duplicities as well as the big ones, the sins of omission between a husband and a wife. At the same time, Ashley Pearce’s direction ensured that a very effective tingle of disquiet ran throughout. The result was infinitely better than I ever imagined it could be.
