Many thanks to 6point7 in the forum who sent me a copy of the original Newsnight Review broadcast from January 25th 2008. It contains a longer clip from the play and I am uploading it now to the galleries.
It is worth ingoring what the critics waffle on about after the clip, and just enjoy the giant Tom photos that show behind the sofa critics...

TS on the forum spotted a very very brief glimpse of Tom on stage in The Vertical Hour, on last night's Newsnight Review programme on the BBC. You can see it at about 39 minutes into the programme on BBC iPlayer, but dont blink.

This Is London gave the play 3 stars but praised Tom's performance;
Tom Riley's fine Philip betrays the right, furious vulnerability
Music OMH gave it 4 stars and had this to say about the acting and Tom in particular;
