Henry's Demons: new Radio 4 play & FAULT magazine interview
Tom tweeted last night that a new BBC Radio 4 play, Henry's Demons would be broadcast this afternoon at 2.15pm. It will be available on BBC iPlayer for 7 days should you miss it.
It's a fascinating true story, in the character's own words. The actual interview with the Cockburns is online somewhere too. It's an extraordinary listen.
A recent interview with Tom for FAULT Magazine by Freya Hill, has just been shared on their website along with this photo by Jean-Claude Dhien. Read the full interview on the website - Tom discusses Arcadia, Monroe and My City.
I asked Riley what it was like reading the script for that production. “The way Stephen Poliakoff works is that he trades in mood, atmosphere and intensity. Reading the script, especially the first act, there’s a real feel of dread. I read an interview with Stephen where he actually said if it all works then he wants it to come across like a vivid dream. That’s something you get from us. That’s where a lot of the intensity comes from; everything in the play seems normal but like in a dream it’s a little bit off, things just aren’t quite right, but it carries on anyway.”

Eve: Film 1st looking for investors
Larger versions of 2 of the GQ magazine photos by James Dimmock have been uploaded to the MNKY LND Facebook Page.
Tom's name has been attached to a new film from Film 1st called Eve, which was mentioned briefly in the recent interview with Tom for GQ magazine. According to the Film 1st website, there are investment opportunities available to help finance the film. This could be your chance! Visit the website for more details.
Eve is… A British comedy about two 18 year old girls striving to come of age against the backdrop of their Jehovah's Witness families, Liverpool's thriving lifestyle and a range of well observed characters. Those in the film industry believe it has the potential to mirror the success of 90s British comedies such as East Is East, Brassed Off and The Full Monty.
The casting for the piece is well underway with commitments from some of Britain's finest established acting talent along with outstanding young actresses all of whom have been drawn to the script's vitality.
Eve will have broad appeal across genders, generations and social classes. It arrives during an age when British cinema's creative talents are immensely well-respected across the globe and Eve can further enhance and build upon this growing reputation.
Happy Ever Afters was given a very limited Australian cinema release on 7th July - initially Sydney only, then to include Brisbane and Melbourne. Tom fans in those areas will need to check local listings for details.
