Happy Ever Afters: new reviews & dvd extras
A few nice DVD reviews for the US release have appeared on line, in advance of Valentine's Day next week. This release appears to have cast interviews as a DVD extra, which the UK DVD doesn't have.
Perhaps one of the most captivating features of this film from Ifc Independent Film is that the characters are so real that they remind you of you, yourself, or at least people you know. The human interactions carry a great message that love is there for everyone, it's just a matter of finding it. Suite 101
Cute Irish import about a pair of couples who end up having to share the same site for their wedding receptions, only to see one bride and the “other” groom fall for one another. Sally Hawkins and Tom Riley are both charismatic and fun to watch in this enjoyable comedy from writer-director Stephen Burke, which arrives on DVD in a 16:9 transfer with 5.1 audio and light extras including interviews and the trailer. The Aisle Seat
Sally Hawkins ("Happy Go Lucky") hits pay dirt with her feisty turn as a single mom who meets the man of her dreams (Tom Riley) at the wedding chapel where he's reluctantly remarrying his ex-wife and she's about to embark on sham nuptials with an African immigrant. As whimsical wedding-themed rom-coms go, this Irish charmer is hardly "Four Weddings and a Funeral" but it's a good catch all the same. Extras: interviews with cast. Pottstown Mercury

Happy Ever Afters: Region 1 DVD cover
Amazon.com have uploaded the DVD cover artwork for the Region 1 DVD, which is due to be released on January 11th 2011. It has a new promo photo of Tom as Freddie - a huge version of the cover is available on the Amazon site.
The movieberry.com website has 2 new clips for the film available to watch here and here; while there is a good review for the film I don't think we have seen before from Film Juice.
...Nevertheless, an enjoyable comedy with genuinely hilarious gags. Worth seeing.

...Sure, "Happy Ever Afters" is a fairly by-the-book romantic comedy but the movie is incredibly charming and has so many things going on at the same time that you cannot help but be swept away by it...
...the movie does have plenty of fun with its characters and their peculiar circumstances. Therefore, it is an irresistible little comic pleasure.
